We thought it a bit odd seeing shorts bearing an unfortunate resemblance to the dreaded Granny Panty on trend-conscious celebs...

Sienna Miller, Rihanna, Katy Perry

...and we dismissed it as a Gaga-esque trend we hoped we'd never see again-- that is, until we spotted the shorts on models walking the catwalk during the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Week!
