Hot Trend: Stacked Bangles
You may think bangles are boring, but this year we’re seeing fun twists to the age-old wristlet that are putting it back on our radar. Stack’em high like SJP at the 2010 Oscars, or stack’em low like Miley Cyrus – the more you mix and match, the more on trend you are!
Splurge
Juicy Couture’s Modern Nostalgia Multi Chain Feather bracelet set ($140)
Lee Angel is a definite trend setter in the world of fashion jewelry; the Jane Ivory Bangle set was my favorite of the current collection ($165, set of 10)
Alex & Ani have been doing the thin stacked bangle & Charms look for a few years, but they’ve changed it up a bit with their Mixed Stone Expandable Wire set ($105, set of 5)
Modest Luxury
Bebe’s oversized Stone Bangle set in “Desert Heat” ($44)
Top Shop’s Print Bangle Pack ($40)
Steal
As always, Aldo Accessories is right on trend with their Schaul Bangle Set in Bone or Silver ($15)
My top pick is Bloomingdale’s Aqua Stud & Mirror Bangle ($28, set of 7)
My vote on this trend is to splurge – designers like Marni, Hermes & DVF all made this look a mainstay well into summer 2011, so your investment is safe. If the stacked look falters, split them up for individual wear – bangles are a timeless fashion staple. It’s really a win/win.

Jewelry is beautiful, I often think of it as a gift
I think anyone can rock bangles no matter their wrist size! They come in a lot of sizes so it's just about finding the comfortable ones for you. For a similar look, maybe try some cuffs that adjust to all wrist sizes.
I love the bangle but being a large gal I can never fing any to fit my big bones *wink*. Too bad...I so wanna rock the stacked bangles!!
The Juicy Couture and Alex & Ani sets are my favourite!
My vote goes to the Juicy Couture ones. But I also like the less expensive ones from Aldo. Need to buy more bracelets! |
