Hot Trend: The Satchel Bag

Inspired by Brit style a la Alexa Chung comes the hottest carryall trend for fall – The Satchel! Preppy, polished and absolutely fabulous, the satchel is not only totally on trend but also a necessity as you can practically pack anything into it. A difficult look to pull off in the spring/summer months, I wouldn’t blow my entire paycheck on this one. That being said, you can count on it staying strong throughout the entire winter.

Splurge on Mulberry's Oversized Alexa bag ($1250) or Proenza Schouler's PS1 Leather Satchel in Saddle ($2175)

Rebecca Minkoff's Morning After Mini bag is a Modest Luxury, as is Marc by Marc Jacobs' Classic Q Ukita Leather Satchel (both $500)

Modcloth's Before the Dawn Satchel and Topshop's Large Buckle Satchel are Steals at $60 and $70 (respectively)
