At ChickAdvisor HQ, we're suckers for new nail trends.  Whether we're sporting the trendiest solo colours of the season, going graphic with wild press-on prints, or trying our hand at the hot Half-Moon Mani, playing with Crayola-coloured bottles of polish turns us back into giggling preteens at a birthday party sleepover.

One trend we're hearing more about lately is the Water Marble Manicure.  This nail art, while effort-intensive, is surprisingly easy once you have the knack.

We found this great video tutorial on Refinery29:

Another tip I came across was to protect your fingers with a good coating of Vaseline instead of scotch tape.

I love marble nails but they take so much effort and time, plus they waste A LOT of nail polish. Wish they could do this at nail salons...

My friend tried it on me once, and though probably eight out of the ten nails came out BEAUTIFULLY (i was fidgeting for two of them..), the residue that was left on my fingers stained right through! It's definitely one of those fun things to do on a girl's night in though.
