How To Fix A Broken Nail

Not one, but two friends asked me in the last week if I knew of any tips or tricks on how to fix a broken nail. Now, to be honest, when I break a nail I just usually cut that sucker off and file away. Broken nails drive me crazy like Britney in 2007. But a few of my friends like, actually, take care of their nails (and don't bite them into stumps like me) and didn't want to cut it off entirely.

So, I did a bit of digging and found this simple broken nail fix using one odd ingredient.

Here's what you'll need:

Base Coat
Nail File
Nail Glue
Scissors
Teabag
(optional) Nail Polish

First, cut open the teabag. You'll be using only the paper for this. Next, cut a small piece of the teabag out, large enough to cover the break in your nail.

Using either your base coat or nail glue, attach the piece of teabag over top of the break so that it completely covers it. Press the paper down so you don't have wrinkles or bubbles.

Secure the paper with another layer of top coat. If there is extra paper over the nail, cut the excess and file to smooth out where the nail and paper meet. You can also gently file on the face of your nail to sand down.

Now, your nail may look a bit odd, so if you want to cover the paper up, you can paint over it with nail polish and no one will know the difference!

Do you have any perfect mani tips or tricks?
