Instagram's New Ass-et: Meet Jen Selter, The Woman With Quite Possibly The Best Butt?

You don’t know who Jen Selter is? Well your boyfriends might. I didn’t either until I found her on my Instagram news feed last night, and then continued to creep all 342 of her posts. Jen Selter is a fitness fanatic from New York, known for her Instagram selfies. @JenSelter now has over 1.8million followers on Instagram, 188,182 Twitter followers and 558406 likes on Facebook.

What makes her so ass-tounding

We'll let you figure it out with these photos:

Is This the Best Butt Ever? Her tight leggings and butt definitely do the trick.

Move over Kim Kardashian and JLo, there’s a new butt on the Instagram block. And she’s only twenty!  (Are stores still selling that Miss New Booty enhancer? I’m asking for a friend.) This new fame has allowed her to quit her underpaid job at a gym and get sponsorship offers from Nike and Lululemon. (Helllllooo, I could use some new sports bras!!) She told Barcroft Media, "It's a pretty wild adventure, and I am really enjoying it, but soon I would really like to spread my brand around the world as far as possible."

Selter has now coined the word #belfie (butt + selfie = belie), though she wishes people would look beyond her booty. She said in a recent interview with ELLE magazine “I’m mysterious. Nobody knows my personality. It’s interesting to me how I build a following of fangirls and fanboys who like me, when they don’t really know me. I’m one of the friendliest, nicest, people out there. I think I would gain another million if people really knew who I was.”

Although she has over a million admirers on Instagram, her fame has brought up the concern of objectifying women (since she is only known for her derrière) and whether she even deserves to be famous and made into a brand? Could she be the new Kardashian?

What do you think about this bootylicious babe taking over Instagram? Do you take shameless #belfies? Can you get behind this trend? Let me know what you think in the comment section below.

She's gonna make it big.

The fact that she said she didn't expect the following is ridiculous! If you put a bunch of pictures of your ass up on Instragram - you're sure to get a lot of attention!!

Hm - She definitely has a nice bottom, but I'm a bit confused to why she's getting all of these endorsements? Since they got rid of Tiger Woods (and whoever else), maybe we'll be seeing her ass on the new Nike commercials...

Yup, wish I had that butt.

Glad to see that I'm not the only person who was like "um, what?" Guys may like a disproportionately bigger booty but honestly I've never understood that. I love what Rachified said, that our selfie culture is seeking constant affirmation which just underscores an inherent lack of self confidence.

I've never been very fond of people taking fitness related photos to
prove that they are working out. My theory is, if you feel the need to
flaunt it, you are doing it for the wrong reasons. It's one thing to
post a before/after photo - I think that's great but at the end of the
day, that person is just looking for re-affirmation from other people
for their success when they should be able to find enough within themselves.

Good
for her for making a name for herself and reeling in all of those
sponsorships. But like @TashaCat said, I hope it doesn't lead to any
objectification in who she is as a person.

I'm just not that into her. Putting yourself out there to be objectified? To each her own, I guess. However, I find that the look is disproportionate and wouldn't want it myself. Boobs and booty are great when they are in balanced proportions.

It's great that she works hard to get the body she wants but I'm not sure I would like to famous just because of a single body part. She's objectifying herself when she should be promoting whole health and not just the booty.
