Late Morning Style: 5 Minute Outfits

Posted by Alexandra C. | Friday December 6, 201315 comments

This morning, I pressed the snooze button about 5 times. I ran into the shower, put on whatever I could find and left for work. So basically, I am wearing the sweatshirt I wore to bed and the skinny jeans I wore yesterday. Class act, I know.

This could have been avoided if I had prepped some super easy, ready to go outfits for my late mornings. It's an idea I got from one of our fave beauty gurus RachhLoves. For those of us who prioritize sleep over all else, or for those random days when you just can't seem to get your butt outta bed, this is an awesome idea. Have a few super simple outfits at hand in your closet that you can slip into in a rush.

The idea behind your five minute outfit is that it's right there, comfy and a no-brainer. At the same time, you look polished and put together.

These are a few of my go-to outfit combos when I need to quickly scoot out the door:

Leggings + Oversized Button Down + Boots + Statement Necklace

1. Express Cabochon and Rhinestone Necklace (C$59.90)

2. Old Navy Jersey Leggings (C$8.00)

3. H&M 100 Denier Control-Top Tights (C$14.95)

Patterned Pant + Sweater + Chunky Watch + Basic Pump =

C'est vraiment de bonnes idées. J'aime cependant avoir une idée de se que je porterai le lendemain, mais bonnes idées pour nous dépanner.

can't wear jeans to work so I usually grab a pair of pants and sweater in the morning.. hate winter so I don't bother dressing up for work, too cold for skirts and dresses

I like your go-to-outfit combos. For me: sweater, jeans and flats.

I've seen several bloggers talk about creating catalogs of looks. The idea is to take a day where you try on every outfit in every possible combination (that you like) and take pictures. Then either create a digital or printed lookbook which you can quickly flip through on busy mornings. This way you never forget about that sequinned tank or floral flats in the back of your wardrobe and all the thinking is taken out of the equation.

I have yet to actually try this idea but I have wanted to for a long time.
