#LetsTalk: Would You Take a Nude Yoga Class?
The winter chill has hit NYC in a major way, but one yoga studio has found a way to heat things up. Local NY studio Bold and Nude has started offering co-ed naked yoga classes; yup you read that right, nekkkkid, giving a new meaning to hot yoga.
Bold and Nude was previously called Le Male Yoga, which offered nude yoga for only men, but they decided to switch things up for 2014 and add some co-ed classes into the mix. Mmm, I wonder if Bradley Cooper frequents that class?
Joschi Schwarz and Monika Werner, who own the studio, claim that this new co-ed class will give its participants benefits like building confidence and boosting sex lives. But there will be no sexual encounters at the classes. The duo explain on their website “sometimes teachers will incorporate partner work into their classes that involves touching and body contact between members. However, this is not to be 'sexual touching' and should any contact of sexual nature occur, it will not be tolerated and will result in the offending member being asked to leave."
Look at it this way, you don’t have to spend any money on new yoga pants! As bizarre as it sounds, I will admit that I’m secretly intrigued. Though, maybe they could also supply a blindfold with your studio membership? I’m sure this is a fabulous way to get fit, but getting naked in front of strangers and doing yoga poses, with your behind in the air and everything hardly seems like a way to find inner peace. Also, I can’t help wondering what exercise without a good sports bra is like.
It’s an interesting concept for sure, but I think I will stick with my cute yoga pants for now. At least I’m guaranteed to know my butt looks good in them.
What do you think chicks? Would you ever go to a nude yoga class? What other bizarre fitness classes do you know of?

no, never, no way | |
I like my yoga pants too much. They are way too expensive not to show off.
I would never take naked yoga...maybe only in the privacy of my own living room...with the drapes closed!
Nope, never | |
Hmm good fr those confident enough to try but not for me thanks
Nope. | |
I see this as a real confidence booster - it shows you that being naked ISN'T anything to be ashamed of, all while giving your body a workout. No one is there to judge your body; they're all there for the same reason as you -- to get a good yoga sesh in. I haven't personally tried it but I'm not opposed either.
I've heard about this previously and while I thought the concept behind it was interesting, it's not something I would be willing to do. If I wanted to do naked yoga, I'd do it in the privacy of my own room.
I do not think so |
