Madonna launches new fashion line at Macy's: Material Girl
Perhaps the most surprising thing is that we actually really like some of these pieces - and we're not alone: it seems The Great Mo's magic touch is winning fans all over the blogosphere.
The line will be affordably priced, ranging from $12-$40. It also ranges the many looks of the original Material Girl, from the layers and fishnets of Like a Virgin to the cowgirl fashion of Music.
30-something moms of tweens will suddenly develop great interest in their daughters' wardrobes, for better or worse. Something tells us, Madge wouldn't have it any other way.
While my nostalgic feelings appreciate the wilder looks, my child better not blow her allowance on them. 5 words: That Ain't Gonna Be Pretty.
"Material Girl" will be available starting August 3, 2010 at Macy's stores across the US. What do you think of this collection?

The clothes are only OK but I happen to really like the jewelry in this line. Some of the pieces are a little pricey but they are well made and have lots of cute charms. Kelly Osbourne is a great choice for the brand in my opinion!
I'm not sure I would want either Taylor or Kelly representing a brand my daughter was sporting. However, I think Kelly is a much better alternative.
I liked Taylor Momsen for it actually, I think she was a good representation of the brand. I love the flower-patterned skirt above too!
I've just read that the new face of Material Girl will be Kelly Osbourne, who replaces Taylor Momsen.
I don't know. I can see the appeal for others but I'm not sure any of this is my style. You? |
