Makeup Transformation: False Eyelashes Real Beauty

Mascara is an everyday staple for most women, there’s no denying that. But sometimes a little mascara and an eyelash curler just don’t cut it. False eyelashes, once reserved for Halloween costumes and dance recitals, have taken a turn for the better.  Natural looking falsies are a quick way to transform from Pretty Betty (because there is no such thing as a Plain Jane) to red carpet ready. We tried out some falsies that work for a wedding, or prom, or dinner with the girls.

The rest of the office wasn't quite as skilled as Jenni at applying the falsies, so she became our guru. If you aren't as practiced either, we've got a tutorial to lend a hand.

Ali's blue eyes really pop with the addition of Quo false lashes. Ali's tip for falsies is to cut them in half. Not only does it become a two-sets-for-one, it also makes her lashes look more natural.

Alexandra's lashes are so long she barely needs her pair of Quo lashes, but they definitely add a little drama to her lashes. Time to practice that subtle wink I think.

Tasha too doesn't need the eyelashes to define her eyes, she rarely even wears mascara. But on a day when the rest of her makeup is natural, the Quo falsies definitely stand out.

Look at the difference these Quo lashes made. Tammy's eyelashes are out of this world. And by that we mean they're gorgeous, but also add volume, length and curl that mascara never could.

What do you think of the false eyelashes? Tell us in the comments below before July 27 and get entered to win a beauty prize.

I think false lashes can definitely be pulled off for every day wear! You just need to avoid the crazy long/thick ones you'd wear to a club!

I think natural-looking false lashes look great. Few people can pull off the extremely dramatic ones. Personally, I hate the feel of the band against my eyelid, but maybe I haven't found the right brand yet.

They look nice and natural! Not crazy and over-the-top-take-over-your-face. Maybe I should give 'em a try sometime!

I love false lashes for dramatic looks, especially slightly feathery or wing tipped ones. I am not sure about wearing them everyday though. It seems like it would be a bit of a hassle.

I think all you ladies have gorgeous eyes with our without the falsies, but they are very natural looking and add just a little bit of extra flare, I would definitely consider trying them for a special occasion.

I love false lashes, I think they really make your eyes a lot bigger looking. Although the glue stings and is a pain to put on. i guess it takes pratice...

I'm actually planning to wear falsies more consistently come fall. They make a HUGE difference for me!
I just purchased a bunch of lashes from Asia... a pack of 10 usually starts at around $1CAD for very basic lashes. I think the ones I bought were around $3CAD for 10. Crazy, eh?
