Makeup Transformation: Nod to Mod

On her fall 2011 runway, Anna Sui channeled the 60's in a big way. In her collection she showed vibrant prints and pop art. As for make up Anna really pulled out the big guns and went old school with mod influenced eyeliner.

Models like Twiggy and Patti Boyd pulled this look off in the 60's and it was reinvented by Anna to look fresh and modern with peachy cheeks and soft lips.

We thought that this would be a fun (and slightly crazy) look to try out, so we did it! What do you think of the results?
Tammy first applied the liner on her lashline and put a bit of a wing on it. Above this line she drew a line on her lid's crease. She decided to smudge this line out to create the effect of shadow and then went over the crease again to create a strong line. Tammy added a bit of a wing for greater effect.
Tammy used Annabelle Smudge Paint

Jenni has on her signature wing tip liner on her lash line to open up and widen her eyes. Above her lash line but far below her eyebrow she added another line in a similar fashion. She made sure to follow her lashline's wing and she didn't attach her lines together at her tear duct but stopped about 1cm before.
Jenni used an Annabelle Smoothie Eyeliner in Licoriche and created harsher edges with her Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner

Alexandra went far out with this look. She lined her eyes thickly on top as well as on her water line. She gave it a wing tip on the end and brought the lines together, past her tear duct in a point. Just above her crease line, she drew another thick line starting at her tear duct and making sure to arch the line in the middle. She brought it back all the way. copying her lash liner.
Alexandra used Annabelle Smooth Liner in Metal Daze.

What do you think of our avant garde look? Is it wearable or should we leave this one in the past? Leave a comment by September 5th and we will randomly choose one commenter to receive a prize! Good luck!

I think it's a neat novelty look but the double eyeliner isn't a look for everyday. It's a bit too Cleopatra like for everyday, I'd get funny looks.

pleasantly surprised about how great this looks! not sure if I have a steady enough hand to apply it myself, but might have to give it a try next time we plan a girls night out :)

I'd wear it!!! I've done something similar to this before using white and black liners, but I like how just using black makes their eyes look HUGE. I like Tammy's the best, but they all look fantastic.

I think it's wearable to a point...you could do it on the weekends, in a photo shoot...not so much everyday. Jenni's eyes really pop with this look

@Beachbabe: Hahah! Actually, with Tammy's natural look, it didn't look too obvious. With mine however, I will agree, it does look Cleopatra-esque.
