Makeup Transformation: We Try a Blue Eye
Since so many of you Chicks were skeptical about trying the blue eye shadow trend, we gave a few of our favourite blue products in the office a test drive.
Tammy goes from bare eyes to bright with the Mary Kay Shadow and Line Duo. The blue and brown colour combination not only is Oprah's favourite, it also really makes Tammy's eyes pop.
Tasha takes her eyes from plain for day at the office to a dramatic smokey eye for night out with Lancome Denis Gagnon Collection Parisian Nights Quartet.
Alexandra is always fierce, but the turquoise Sephora Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Waterproof on her lids brings attention to her pretty brown eyes.
Jenni tried GOSH Ocean Club Extreme Art Eyeliner in Deep Sea Blue. If eyes are the window to the soul, she's framed hers well in this bright blue.
What do you like better, a bare eye or blue? Tell us in the comments below by July 11th and get entered to win a beauty prize (it'll be one of the five we're giving away this week, check out this article to see what they are).
Reminder: If you are not yet a ChickAdvisor member (and here's the link to sign up for a free profile), please make sure to include an email address so we know how to contact you if you are our winner. Good luck!

Im not too Keen on the Blue Eyes, Ya its cute if your at a concert or at a nightclub, but not something I' choose to wear over going "bare". Natural & fresh, with some black eyeliner is the way to go!

Blue looks nice and summery
I realy Like Tammy's blue eyes. They're perfectly done. I think I'll try to copy that and see what my friends think.
I've never been a fan of blue eyeshadow. It reminds me of a time like Napoleon Dynamite with the crimped hair and pants with the foot straps. Even with this tacky pre-disposition I do think that Tammy did a really good job at turning it into a classy look. I don't think this colour is one to suit very many people but I guess if it is done right you can really make it work.
I like most of them, but Alexandra's looks like it is applied too heavily on the lid. I prefer blue when it's done around the eye, maybe over a dark brown, smudged out over it, but still made very noticeable. That's usually what I do myself when I use bright or navy blues, which I just started doing a month and a half or so ago. Before that, I was convinced I couldn't wear blue at all. But if I do my whole lid, I look like the Happy Hooker.
Sorry, but I'm not into the blue. I think Tammy pulls it off the best, though.
I love the blue eye makeup on Tammy. She looks great.
I think everyone looks great with the blue eye....I am all about color. I can wear a 'bare' eye anytime-but I prefer to rock color!!!
I like the blue! Tammy's look is the most wearable in my opinion... i like the shade of the blue and her lip color is toned down making her eyes the focus. I would rock Tammy's look for sure :) |
