Makeup Transformation: White Eyes and Nude Lips

Have you ever noticed that runway makeup looks great on the runway, but doesn't really apply to real life? We copied Alexander McQueen's beauty look for his Fall/Winter ready to wear collection. His white eye liner and nude lips make the models look ghostly and also a little ethereal. How do you think it looks on us?

Jenni usually wears her black cat eye liner to the office. Her nude lips blend well, but we think it would look a little better with a smokey eye.

Alexandra wasn't a fan of her white eye shadow and liner. But you can't deny, the white in the inner corners brighten up her eyes.

Tasha's white eye shadow was hard to see, unless she looks away from the camera. We like that her nude lips still have a hint of pink. But she thinks the white eyes should be balanced by a bold red-orange lip.

Tammy's white eye liner makes her eyes appear bigger, while her nude lip stick makes her full lips disappear. Don't ask why, but when we did her makeup we thought Tammy reminded us of the Asian Ganguro makeup trend.

What do you think of our runway inspired look? Let us know before August 21st for a chance to win a prize.

I like when white eyeliner is applied to the inner corners of the eye to really give it that pop effect. I really like nude lips but I think they're paired better with a smokey eye or bold colors on the eye. I'm not really a fan of the two looks merged together.

I'm not a fan of the look. I think all the ladies look better in the before shots, without the transformation.

I am not a big fan of this look but Alexandra's look is cute and the most wearable.

I think this look looks the best on Alex, how ever I don't really care for it on any of you ladies, or anyone for that matter.

You all look much pretty when your in your own styles. I've tried it
look on myself before and I almost scared myself half to death when I
look in the mirror.LOL

I think I'll leave this look to the runway model's where they can get away with pretty much anything.

I think alexandria pulled this look off the best. In fact girl the way you did your eyes, you can replace the white with any colour and do the top & bottom mid to outer corners black just as you did here and it'd look great. Overall I think white is left best as a highlighter under the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes. Other than that it does tend to wash out the wearer and make them look ill. :-/ sorry girls .. you're all gorgeous but I'm not digging this white with nude lips.

I'm not a fan of this make up transformation either. I feel like I look a bit mental when I wear it. On the other hand, I've seen white liner on people with very dark skin and I think it looks fantastic! Maybe you have to be a model to wear it :(

haha I have to agree with curlysue here, this look does not look good on me. I think it's also the nude lips, it washes everyone out and in combination with the white eyeliner, it makes us look like we're ill.

This look was especially hard to do when trying to stray away from a crazy-eye-girl look. I've definitely learned subtle-ty is key!

White liner is great, it highlights everyone's eyes so well they just "pop!"
I would wear this look with a neutral to colour glossy lip, keeping with the subtle cheeks :)
Fun!
