#MasterCheeseClass Event: Recap, Pictures, & Recipes!

Posted by ChickAdvisor Team | Friday June 26, 201537 comments

Recently, 20 of our Toronto Chicks and 1,000 cheese lovers across Canada joined ChickAdvisor for our #MasterCheeseClass with celeb chef Christine Cushing.

Christine guided us through three spectacular dishes featuring cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk:

Baby Arugula Salad with Canadian Halloumi Croutons in Citrus Olive Oil Vinaigrette (click for recipe)

Grilled Turkey and Smoked Canadian Maple Cheddar Burgers (click for recipe)

Lemon Canadian Mascarpone Tarts in Chocolate Cookie Crust (click for recipe

Christine peppered her instruction with hilarious anecdotes ("don't fondle the dough!") and responded to questions posted via Twitter.  From gluten-free recipe substitutes to whether duck meat would work for the burgers, we all came away from the class with fantastic meal ideas and satisfied appetites. A huge surprise and delight? Canadian Halloumi croutons!

A big thank you to our sponsor Dairy Farmers of Canada for making this event possible! Remember to look for the blue cow "100% Canadian Milk" symbol whenever you're shopping for cheese. It guaranties the cheese is made from Canadian milk renowned for its purity, quality and great taste. You're also supporting your local Canadian dairy farmers!
