Maybelline Make Up Artist Grace Lee Talks: The Number One Beauty Product You Need Next Season
About two weeks ago, the white tents were raised in downtown Toronto signalling the return of fashion week and of course, we got excited. When Maybelline invited us for a backstage sneak peek pre-show to see make up artist Grace Lee work her magic on the models, we jumped at the chance.
We also had the opportunity to ask Grace a few questions burning in our minds. Obviously I went for the big one: What's the big trend for spring and fall 2014?
And Grace did not disappoint. What's the number one item you NEED to have next season? Nude lips!
Grace told us that almost every show was working the nude lip trend and she predicted it to be a MAJOR trend for spring and even going into fall.
Because we're always here to help you make the best buying decisions, we rounded up a few nude lippies that you'll need to snap up soon:
1. Nars Lipstick Honolulu Honey (C$30.00)
2. Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Nude (C$29.00)
3. Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lipcolour in Maple Kiss (C$9.99)
4. Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo (C$15.00)
5. Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick (C$23.00)
What do you think of the nude lip trend? Will you try it out?

I never have worn lipstick but I would like to try this because it's not too bold so maybe I'll give it a try.
Love this! I'm definitely going to try this... so much nicer everyday than bright "in-your-face" lipstick
that lipstick #1 really makes me want to run out and buy it
I've been rocking the nude lip for years
I really love the look as long as it's not overdone. Looks natural, but well groomed.
I can't wear nude lips, just doesn't work on my light skin. I prefer bold lips instead.
I like nude lips! very natural and beautiful
@umolive - try one with a pink undertone. I have the same issue and notice that ones with pink undertones don't make me look so washed out and well, dead. lol
I usually love colour on my lips. I tend to go more nude-eye. However a few years ago I discovered a colour which was the perfect-nude for me and I love wearing it! Thanks Arden... time to go buy a new tube
Great post today! |
