Maybelline Make Up Artist Grace Lee Talks: The Number One Beauty Product You Need Next Season
About two weeks ago, the white tents were raised in downtown Toronto signalling the return of fashion week and of course, we got excited. When Maybelline invited us for a backstage sneak peek pre-show to see make up artist Grace Lee work her magic on the models, we jumped at the chance.
We also had the opportunity to ask Grace a few questions burning in our minds. Obviously I went for the big one: What's the big trend for spring and fall 2014?
And Grace did not disappoint. What's the number one item you NEED to have next season? Nude lips!
Grace told us that almost every show was working the nude lip trend and she predicted it to be a MAJOR trend for spring and even going into fall.
Because we're always here to help you make the best buying decisions, we rounded up a few nude lippies that you'll need to snap up soon:
1. Nars Lipstick Honolulu Honey (C$30.00)
2. Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Nude (C$29.00)
3. Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Lipcolour in Maple Kiss (C$9.99)
4. Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo (C$15.00)
5. Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick (C$23.00)
What do you think of the nude lip trend? Will you try it out?

It depends on what you're doing and where you're at. I like a little colour, but I'll also go for the nude lip here and there.
Love nude lips but watch out for the Maybelline Color Sensational line it has the most amount of Lead than any other brand of lipsticks.
Love nude lips | |
I've been doing nude lips for a few months now, I like it. I've wearing Sephora collection rouge cream lipstick in Ingenuous 21.
No I like some color | |
Grace Lee did such an amazing job with the looks for Toronto Fashion Week and the nude lips are perfect for fall, although I agree with mamaluv I would prefer a gloss, sometimes nude lipsticks just don't do the trick for me
YES!!!! I do the nude lip daily and love it!!! It's versatile, sexy and classy!
Not sure if this is a look / colour I could pull off! May try the Maybelline Nude Product first - as it is so reasonably priced!
Nude lips are just not exciting to me. I see the appeal and I definitely am on the fence about super bold lipstick. Some days I'm all for it and other days it looks too heavy. In the end I almost always go for a tinted lipgloss anyway. |
