Members' Faves: Body Moisturizers for Summer

Soft, summer skin is easily found in one of our member's favourite body lotions, butters and moisturizers. Look for one with hydrating ingredients and a summery smell.

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter
"With a lot of other moisturizers I find that they are standard, run of the mill, they get the job done but lack the 'OMG' factor. Not so with this. It does a great job of moisturizing. Even just putting it on, you feel like things are starting to work. Plus, it just feels GREAT. The consistency is great, and it just has that indescribable something about it. I normally list pros and cons at this point but its pretty much perfect in the moisturizing/lotion aspects." -Megan10101010

Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Lotion
"This is the only body lotion I use; it has a very light scent and goes on nice and smooth. I find it helps my tan last longer, and it hydrates your skin in the harsh winter months." -Sydnie

Victoria's Secret Love Spell Ultra Softening Body Butter
"Love Spell has been one of my favorite scents for years. After trying all of the products carried, I got a tub of the skin softening body butter, even though normally body butter is too thick for my taste. I was so surprised when I applied it and it was more like whipped butter. It was so silky and soft, I could almost have rubbed the entire tub on in that instant. The smell is AMAZING, better than most of the other Love Spell products strangely enough. I would recommend this to anyone as the effects are amazing! You won't believe how soft your skin is after!" -Gracienbalsmommy

Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion
"Five stars all the way! My skin seemed to absorb it right away, not leaving a greasy residue like other moisturizers. As a Floridian, I tend to be in the sun often. I use this every night before bed and wake up in the morning feeling wonderful." -4BabyAndMom

Lubriderm Daily Moisture With SPF 15
"The normal Lubriderm moisture mixed with SPF 15! Great for if you don't like the heavy feeling of sunscreen, lightweight smooth texture with the benefit of sun protection, how could you go wrong, great smell, gentle enough to use on your face! an amazing product!" -missmisner

Cake Beauty Desserted Island Supreme Body Mousse
"Oh my! What can I say except that this is the most richest and indulgent body cream I have ever used. Not only that but it actually smells really delectable. I love the coconut and vanilla combination. I use it ever day after using the matching shower froth and do find a difference in how moisturized my skin is now." -Cherry Blossom

Lush Karma Kream Body Cream
"I have always been a fan of Lush products because of the natural ingredients and obvious care taken in the process of making the product. Karma Cream not only smells amazing but moisturizes dry skin in an instant." -IsabellaMasucci

I really like the Vaseline cocoa butter and I agree with what the reviewer said about making your tan lasts longer. I feel like that lotion really does that.

I'm obsessed with Cake lotions right now. I not only love smelling like vanilla cupcakes, it's so moisturizing it has kept my stretch marks away so far! Fingers crossed it stays that way!!

Vaseline is always one of my "go-to" lotions! I'm glad to see the cocoa one has been getting a lot of attention!

I love Victoria's Secret body butters, they absorb really fast and are very light, which is oh-so-important in the summer when you feel a bit sticky from the humidity as it is and don't want to feel like your moisturizer is making you extra slippery. The smell is pretty strong, so if you're sensitive or work in a no-fragrance office this is a no no.
