Members' Faves: Lipstick and Lip Gloss With SPF

We hope we don't need to tell you how important applying SPF is, however, you may need to be reminded that it's not just for obvious spots like your face, neck and body—don't forget your hairline and part, ears and feet, too. After every hand washing you should be reapplying a hand cream with SPF, and your lips, a high traffic area due to all the talking, eating and (occasional?) kissing needs frequent application of a lip product containing SPF. Girls who love their colour don't need to give up their bullet or wand and go the lip balm route (though there are some great tinted ones out there in beautiful colours), ChickAdvisor members have reviewed and reported back with their fave lipsticks and glosses with SPF. No need to air kiss us thanks, we'll take a real kiss, just don't forget to reapply your SPF lippie after.

1) Vincent Longo Baby Balm SPF 12 Lipstick
"This Vincent Longo is one of the best lipsticks I've ever owned. The shade shown is La Dulceta and it is my go-to nude lipstick shade. This lipstick is extremely moisturizing, smooth, long-lasting, smells/tastes delicious and blends beautifully. I'd definitely recommend this to all lipstick and lip gloss lovers because it isn't heavy, chalky, sticky or overbearing." -GREEDS

2) YSL Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15
"I love, love, love this lipstick. I was waiting for a flight and browsed around duty free and came across these babies. I instantly fell in love. The texture is so smooth and silky. It's super pigmented. Moisturizing. Glides on like a dream. Smells so amazing. Oh did I forget that it has a super nice packaging? I couldn't rave about this more. I remember putting this on and I kept sniffing because I loved the smell so much. I want this in every color! The only downside is that it doesn't last as long as some other lipsticks but it's alright. Overall I'd definitely recommend this product." -Mandy.f

3) Neutrogena MoistureShine Lipstick SPF 20 Lip Color
"I really like this lipstick, it helps me moisturize my lips during the winter time and also contains SPF 20. The color [Just Whisper] really goes well with most make up that I put on." -peonyinlove

4) Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss with SPF 15
"I always go to this lip gloss and it never fails me. I tried other brands and they seem to rub off really easy. I have probably four tubes, I hope Revlon never stops selling Pink Afterglow lip gloss. It is not pigmented very much but is so sparkly and sexy! So this to me is a Must have!" -antie500

5) Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15
"Clinique has always been known for great lip products. This lip gloss has just the right amount of pigment and shine, and complements my skin tone. I find its affordable, only $18.00 for a tube which lasts for a very long time. You can take it anywhere since the tube is so sleekly designed. It's easy to apply with out being sticky. It also contains SPF 15, so you can wear it in the sun and help protect your lips from harmful UV rays, which makes summer more fun and carefree. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, as it comes in a variety of shades to complement anyone's skin tone." -charmgirl

6) Fresh Sugar Lip treatment with SPF 15
"I had purchased this as part of a set of Fresh products from Sephora. The full sized version retails around 22.50. This is well worth buying full sized! It makes your lips soft and hydrated with just a light application. It isn't sticky and comes with a light tint of colour. I love the fact it doesn't have a chemical taste to it and has very pleasant sent. The top is also a screw top so it won't come open in your purse...a big bonus in my book as I've had that problem with other lip glosses/balms." -Allyria

7) Lancome L'Absolu Rouge with SPF 12
"I absolutely love this lipstick. The price is crazy for anyone who is on a budget (I received it as a gift) but the lipstick itself is amazing. It is formulated to be moisturizing as well as [provide] color. I have it in Fleur Impressioniste and think it's a beautiful color. Your lips never feel dry with this on, and you've got a gorgeous color to boot! A wonderful splurge for any lipstick lovers." -megz212445

I actually hate wearing lip balm under my lipstick since I find it doesn't stay as long. But now I think I may need to invest in one of these.

Good reminder to wear SPF on your lips too. I usually wear a lipbalm under lipstick/stain/gloss anyway.
And YES to SPF on your hair part!! I neglected this on our vacation in Jamaica and regretted that :( It's the only time I ever have been sunburnt there so I didn't even think of it until that evening when I had such an intense ache down my part. It was very hard to put Lidocaine there! haha SO painful, would never want that again.

Wow, I actually had no idea lipstick came with SPF. This is so great for the summer! I get these weird sun spots on my lips, and end up looking like I ate a leopard.

I really like lipsticks with SPF. I tend to wear lipstick everyday in the morning and I always have to apply a lip balm with SPF in it first to protect my lips. Having SPF in lipstick makes it so much easier for me to skip the lip balm, or also wear the lip balm to ensure that my lips are protected.
