Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Pics & Trends
Milan went Retro for Spring 2011. We saw 1920s fringes, 60s silhouettes, and wild colours of the 70s and 80s. Minimalism - not so much.
Antonio Marras, Versace, Roberto Cavalli
Fringes and feathers were huge, matched with both monochrome and wildly colourful fabrics.
Alberta Ferretti, Antonio Marras, Bottega Veneta
Languidly flowing silhouettes shimmered in both sheer and metallic fabrics.
Prada, Trussardi 1911, Fendi
Brash stripes featured the oranges, reds, and yellows also seen in New York and London.
Gucci, Jil Sander, Missoni
Colours were seen in simple bold blocks...
Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana
... or elegant monochromes.
Which look are you most eager to see in Spring?

I love the white dress! I can just see her walking down a beautiful beach. If I had some where to wear it I would definitely buy one for myself. | |
I love the fringes and feathers - wondering how that will be interpreted in retail? Also excited about the drapey silhouettes. They look so comfy to wear but for us shorties might look a little too I Dream of Jeannie? |
