Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Pics & Trends

Milan went Retro for Spring 2011. We saw 1920s fringes, 60s silhouettes, and wild colours of the 70s and 80s. Minimalism - not so much.

Antonio Marras, Versace, Roberto Cavalli

Fringes and feathers were huge, matched with both monochrome and wildly colourful fabrics.

Alberta Ferretti, Antonio Marras, Bottega Veneta

Languidly flowing silhouettes shimmered in both sheer and metallic fabrics.

Prada, Trussardi 1911, Fendi

Brash stripes featured the oranges, reds, and yellows also seen in New York and London.

Gucci, Jil Sander, Missoni

Colours were seen in simple bold blocks...

Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana

... or elegant monochromes.
