It's not a secret, I'm a chocolate junkie. And as far as I can recall, it has always had a special place in my heart. Being pregnant at the moment, I do not have any weird cravings, although I cannot say no to the rich taste of a piece of good quality dark chocolate ;)

I am aware that healthy choices are important in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially now that I have a growing little one in my belly. I've always been very conscious about what I eat, preparing savory and healthy homemade meals. When it comes to snacks, I always pack on healthy ones: dried or fresh fruits, cereals, nuts and homemade baked goods... but it is tempting to go back to my good old chocolate love from time to time.

A few years ago, I discovered the Brookside products while shopping at Costco. Their bags of fruit flavoured centres enrobed in chocolate sounded delicious and it's been a favorite of mine since then. 

Now, I'm thrilled to see Brookside comes with their Dark Chocolate Tablet Bars, a new option that regroups all my favorite snacks. Combining dried fruits, nuts and/or cereals in a dark chocolate tablet bar is simply genius, and a great option to satisfy your sweet tooth. I have tried them myself, and I can tell you that the flavors and textures really add a little je-ne-sais-quoi that makes these tablet bars delicious and enjoyable to eat!

I keep them on my desk at the office, or in my pantry at home, just in case I have a craving and I want to treat myself with a feel-good snack. It's the perfect late afternoon snack with a latte and I'm looking forward to when I can have this for dessert with a glass of wine!
 
Choosing my favorite out of the three was not an easy decision, since they're all so yummy and different. But if I were to go on a desert island, I would probably bring the Blueberry Almond with Açai Flavour ;)
