Starting a family can be a nerve-wracking experience. Are you ever truly ready for this huge step? As teens and young adults, we spend much of our time trying to avoid pregnancy. Going from deathly afraid to desperately wanting a baby is an interesting journey.

My first child was unplanned. We were happily married but we were also students: broke, busy, and absolutely not ready to settle down. After our daughter was born, we enjoyed parenthood so much that we decided to go for baby #2. That's when things became frustrating.

All around us we saw couples conceiving easily. We listened with increasing irritation to women exclaim that it took "an agonizing three months!" to finally get pregnant, while our fruitless efforts went six months to one year and longer. I recognized how lucky we were to have our daughter when some of my friends were still childless after years of trying, but we so hoped for more children.

After two years of no success, I started to chart my temperature to try to predict when I'd be most fertile. However, my thermometer's margin of error (possibly combined with a complete lack of understanding on my part of how this was supposed to work) meant that my charting was patchy at best and gave us no useful information. Trying to conceive a baby had become a chore - and a heartbreaking one at that.

The end of my story is amusingly stereotypical: after more than four years we finally gave up trying, decided to move forward with our lives and careers... and then I became pregnant with baby #2 followed quickly by baby #3.

Does any of this sound familiar? Thankfully, better tools are now available which can help couples conceive more easily and finally start their long-awaited families. One such tool is the First Response™ Digital Ovulation Test: a digital reader that tracks your daily Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels to identify your most important fertile days. Within five minutes, an unmistakable YES or NO result will tell you if the timing to conceive is ideal, with an over 99% accuracy rate of detecting an LH surge. This test recognizes your hormone levels, unlike other tests which may use a preset "average" to predict fertility.

Sisters, if your story sounds like mine then let's band together and offer our advice to other women in this situation. If you've used the First Response™ Digital Ovulation Test to become pregnant in the past, please post your review on ChickAdvisor by clicking the button below. First Response™ has given us 200 booklets full of full-value personal care and home care coupons* to give away to our participating reviewers!

this is what we used when we wanted to find out if we were pregnant or not. I love it just for the reason that it says yes or no, you dont have to guess at it or anything

@Vlicious: This product review opportunity is for women who have already tried First Response, since the trial period for a product like this would have to be a long time (as you know it can take months or years to conceive). Sorry! Hopefully you will get some insight about this product from those who have used it and had positive experiences.
