Becoming a parent comes with as many unknowns as it does preconceptions about what you should or should not do. Heaven forbid you should buy the wrong stroller or forget to put them on a prestigious preschool's waiting list!

I have three kids, and while I experienced the biggest learning curve with my first child, #2 and #3 proved to me that each baby is different and the knowledge I thought I had didn't always work. For example, let's talk about breastfeeding.

We all know, and experts agree, that breastfeeding is the optimal way to feed babies. There are a lot of good reasons why that's true. For me, it was absolutely important to exclusively breastfeed my kids for the first 6 months. Unfortunately, baby #1 took forever to learn how to latch and my next two were such ferociously hungry little guys that I couldn't possibly keep up with the demand.

I did everything I felt I could to increase my milk supply: making sure I was getting enough water and healthy foods, trying to get enough sleep, and even looking into supplements that might help. Frustrated and ashamed that I was failing as a mother (or so it seemed to me at the time), I finally took my doctor's advice and started supplementing with NESTLÉ GOOD START infant formula.

Now in a new mom-friendly, convenient design, NESTLÉ GOOD START Probiotic with Omega 3&6 offers the following features:
  • Easy to digest* - 10x smaller proteins (on average) than routine intact cow's milk formula
  • Allergy risk reduction** - Nestlé GOOD START Stage 1 infant formulas made with 100% whey protein that has been partially broken down may help reduce the possibility of developing an allergic reaction due to whole cow's milk protein
  • Probiotics - the first formula to contain a Probiotic?
  • Omega 3 and 6 - With recommended levels^ of DHA & ARA (Omega 3 &6), which help support baby's normal physical brain and eye development

After trying GOOD START, I cannot describe the load that was taken off my mind when I saw how happy my baby was with a full tummy! I became a much less stressed, happier mom because supplementing was the right choice for me.

Many women have had similar experiences as mine. Others choose to supplement or exclusively formula-feed for other reasons. Ladies, let's show other moms we have their back! Share a parenting struggle you've overcome or pass along a word of encouragement that helped you during those baby years in the comments section below.

*All infant formulas are designed to be easy to digest.
**NESTLÉ GOOD START with 100% whey protein that has been partially hydrolyzed does not contain whole milk protein and therefore may reduce the possibility of an allergic reaction due to these proteins. this was our go to baby formula when my daughter was just born. When youre a first time parent you get a little overwhelmed with all these things you have no idea the difference between. So I did some research and I heard great things about goodstart and we were so happy with our decision. My daughter had no issue adjusting, she wasnt gassy. it was great

I supplemented my babies with ready to feed Good Start at about 4-6 months and continued to with powdered Good Start as they grew. They loved it. Since they wouldn't take breastmilk from a bottle, it was nice that they'd take this when I was out.

After the birth of my second daughter I realized that all babies are different. My first slept well and nursed well up until I introduced solids. Once she started eating solids she went off the breast (her choice, not mine) and so I had to switch to formula. We used Nestlé Good Start and she transitioned easily. My second daughter was a cluster feeder and did not sleep well at all. She still isn't sleeping well and so the time has come to supplement with formula at night in the *hope* that she will sleep better. Wish us luck!
