New Year's Eve Décor Idea Round Up

New Years Eve is always kind of a let down. I hype it up so much and when it comes down to it, it's always lame. Plus, going out is going to cost you $$$. Heading to a club? Be prepared to pay cover charge and for drinks worth a quarter their price. Your best bet is have a few close gals and guys over, spruce up the place to get the atmosphere right, pump the jams and get down to having fun.

Here are some excellent DIY decor ideas for everyone, whether you're Martha Stewart or your idea of crafting is sticking on a bow and calling it a day:

Balloons: Easy Level 2

They look super impressive but don't actually require much crafting skills. Try filling your balloons with hellium and attaching photos with awesome moments from the past year. Attach coloured strings, tassels or garland to them for an easy twist. Or simply figure out a few pattern and tape to the wall for a cool design.

Keep Your Christmas Decorations Up: Easy Level 1-3

This one is for all the lazy ladies: girls, I got your back. I`m totally on the lazy train. Re-purpose your Christmas decorations that are still up by adjusting them to a new palette. Add some fun noisemakers and hats to your Christmas tree to make it a new year's tree. Make a wreath out of garland and ditch the red and green but keep your other ornaments up! You can even string them on fishing wire for a makeshift garland. DIY NYE crackers with fun prizes for your guests.

Break Out the Bubbly: Easy Level 1-3

For a super simple but cute idea, stock up on personal size bubbly, ribbons and cute straws and let guests serve themselves. Kick it up a notch by glitterfying mason jars for straws or adding fun stir sticks.

Party and Decor Ideas: NYE is all about loosening up and celebrating a fresh start while saying goodbye to some fabulous memories. So make your space bright, glittery and have some activities for your guests.

Build a posing wall people to work their selfie magic in.

Don't have a designer eye? Stick some candy in a bowl and adorn it with anything bright and sparkly and you're done in 5 minutes flat.

If hosting craftier chicks, have a party hat making station. Glitter is mandatory.

And lastly, for your pinspiration, a few decor ideas for your part-tay!

I hope to have a quiet evening with a lovely meal, and time to remember those I lost during 2013.

I'll spend it quietly at home with my husband and hopefully no 20 year old stepson.

The photos hanging from balloons is such a great idea and it's a great way to reminisce on things that happened this year.
