We've fallen head over heels in love with the ombré look! We saw it in hair and on nails - the ombré lip is the next big thing!


(From Left) Miu Miu model looks classic and glamorous with an ombre lip. Ombre nail art is a modern and simple look that looks way more difficult to apply than it is. Lauren Conrad has been at the fore front of the ombre movement sporting the hair, lips and even nails from time to time!

It's not only super easy and fast to do, but the ombré lip actually creates the illusion that your lips are plumper- always a good thing for us born with 'less-than-Angelina' type lips. It is recreated with very few items and in only a couple of steps. Want this glam look for yourself? We've got you covered!
 
What You'll Need: 

1. Two Lipsticks, one in a darker shade and the other lighter. For this, we used Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sultry Sable and Joe Fresh Cream Lipstick in Bare. 
2. Lip liner in similar or same shade as the dark lipstick. We picked Amuse Ultra Fine Lip Liner in Cabaret
3. Lip Brush. We actually used an eye shadow blending brush and found it just as good! We used E.L.F. Professional Eye Shadow Brush 

Step 1: Line your lips to give definition and to help create an outline to follow with your lipstick. 
Step 2: Fill in your lips with the darker shade of lipstick. 



Step 3: Apply some of the lighter shade of lipstick onto your brush. 
Step 4: Going from the inside of the lip, use quick and light dabbing motions to brush on the lighter shade. The idea to create a gradient, the lips should be dark on the outside and bottom area and fade into the light shade in the middle. 


 
Et voilà - your ombre lip is finished just like that! This look is totally wearable for day or night by just a simple switch of the lipstick colour. While we tried out a deep mauve colour, an office or day time look could be easily achieved with a lighter pink or red.
