'On A High Heel' Bridal Shower-Themed Martini Recipe

Bridal shower season is in full swing. I had the pleasure of attending a whimsical shoe-themed bridal shower on a lovely Friday evening, and it was the Girls’ Night Out I’ve been craving for a while. The food was spectacular, the company in high spirits, and the drinks a’flowin’.

Since I was a bridesmaid I offered my assistance in the best way I know how: providing the feature cocktail. To celebrate our glowing bride and the evening's theme, I named this martini 'On A High Heel'.  Paired with a sparkling rimmed glass, this sweet concoction was a huge hit!

On A High Heel Martini

1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce Sour Puss liquor
1/4 ounce grenadine
Splash of cranberry juice

Combine these ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker and pour into rimmed martini glasses.

How to rim the martini glass: Squeeze 2 limes (one at a time: the juice of 2 limes might be too much at first) and dip the rim of the martini glass directly into the juice. Shake off any access and dip the wet glass into a plate of sprinkles or coloured sugar crystals.
