Oscars 2012 Celebrity Hair Styles Round Up
Of course, like all already know, the only reason we watch any awards show is to see the fabulous celebrity looks. While there may have been some fashion misses (hem, hem Ms. Stone), overall the celeb beauty and hair scene was a hit! I think I can honestly say that there wasn't a single hair style, I didn't absolutely adore.
This year's Oscars red carpet saw chic chignons and buns, updos and long beachy waves contrasted against adorable pixie cuts. These styles provide some great beauty inspiration come spring, so get out your pen and paper chicks and start taking notes!
Buns and Chignons
Seems we were right on the mark with our recent bun and chignon pose off! This hairstyle isn't going anywhere come spring time. While Octavia Spencer (top left) wore a subtle bouffant creating a vintage inspired bun, JLo tied everything up in a topknot. If you're looking to get a similar effect, may we suggest this tutorial on a DIY sock bun?
Emma Stone keeps her hair styled sleek with a glamorous twist at the back while Berenice Bejo (bottom right) has a bit of a boho influence with a side French braid and twisted chignon.
Up Dos
Rooney Mara (top left) goes for a blunt and heavy bang in front and smooth styled finish for a very retro throwback look. While Kate Mara's (bottom) hair is loose and wavy for an organic style. I'm especially lovng the hair accessories, a great tip for spicing up an ordinary up do!
Missi Pyle's (right) dress may have been a disaster, but this loosely curled hairstyle is anything but. It's the perfect balance between messy and put together, I love that it isn't overdone.
Pixie Cuts
While I'm not sure if I could personally pull this look off, Michelle Williams (left) and Viola Davis (right) definitely both do. This look takes some major cheekbones to pull off and these ladies have them in spades. Loving how natural and sweet this cut is- could you or would you ever try this one out?
Long Hair: Beachy Waves and Curls
I have a serious case of hair envy over Stacey Keibler's (left) long, smooth locks with just a hint of curl. The gorgeous twisted detailing at the back is not only practical, but so pretty! Maya Rudolph wears a similar style but with large ringlets and curls. Can we please talk about how beautiful that hair colour is too?
Jessica Chastain (left) does a bouffant style like Octavia Spencer (above) but keeps her long hair down in beachy curls. This hair style is so effortlessly chic looking! Angelina Jolie pulls off a similar look but keeps it simple for a "What me? Beautiful? Well, thank you, but I just rolled out of bed, y'know..." type look. But, I'm not jealous. I swear.
Which celeb's hair would you love to try on for a day? Which hair style was your favourite of the night?

I like a classic big bun up high like Jennifer Lopez wore. It's just so simple and striking on most face shapes. I also LOVE Michelle Williams pixie cut! It's just so sweet, elegant on her and she pulls it off so beautifully.

Michelle Williams looks amazing! I wish I had the face (and guts) to pull this off!
Michelle's pixie cut really suits her!
I love Michelle Williams' pixie cut. She looks youthful but sophisticated.
Emma Stones hair is so radiant. Wonder what she put on it, very smooth, not a strand falling off the bun.
Octavia Spencer - majestic, and regal, not flashy. and Rooney Mara - very sci-fi. I will try these for a day with the help of Hair Stylist.

I'd like to try Berenice Bejo hair style at least one time. |
