Perfect Your Cat-Eyeliner with One Easy Trick!
Hold onto your seats chicks, I'm about to rock your world. First, let me ask, what lady doesn't have cat-eyeliner issues? Getting that wing just so, making sure it's even and that your hand is steady or even knowing when to draw the line (so to speak), avoiding extreme Amy Winehouse territory.
We've recently discovered how multi-use scotch tape is in your beauty kit and now we've got yet another use- it's the solution to all your cat-eye issues! This easy, simple trick will use scotch tape as a guide to create a worry free cat-eye, so keep reading and in advance- you're welcome!
Cut off a piece of scotch tape about 2 inches long. If you are going for a longer wing, cut off more. Cut this piece in half, horizontally. Place one half of the tape near your bottom lashes, in a diagonal direction. You'll want to place the tape with the natural direction of your eye, going upwards.
Place the second half of the tape, going from the inner corner so that the two ends of tape meet. This is also how you'll determine the shape and length of the wing, so you may want to cut the piece shorter or re-cut another piece of tape.
Tip: Before applying the tape to your eye area, stick it first on your palm to reduce the adhesiveness. Your sensitive eye area will thank you!
Using a gel eyeliner, liquid liner or even a pencil, fill in the area between the two pieces of tape. We found it easiest to use a gel liner and an angled brush.
Once dry, carefully peel off the tape and reveal a perfect cat eye!
Tip: As we discovered, you may need a bit of help the first time you do this, especially in making sure they look even. Like the saying goes, practice makes perfect!
