Posing Wall: Meet Alexandra C.

Hey there!

I'm Alexandra and I am thrilled to be joining the team at ChickAdvisor as an intern! I have just graduated from George Brown in their Fashion Business Industry program so I am really excited to get to work in such a creative environment. I am looking forward to interacting with all the readers and hearing what everyone has to say!
Instead of giving you some long-winded explanation of who I am, I thought I would give you five things that I love:

Banana Cream Pie from Altitude Baking in Toronto: Hands down, best pie ever. If I were to ever enter a pie eating contest and this was the pie of choice, I would win. No debate.

Thrifting: I am a big fan of getting down and dirty at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Value Village and Double Take Thrift Store on the East Side of Toronto. Amazing bargains and you're guaranteed to have a unique piece!

Fashion Photography: What I love about fashion is its ability to create something beautiful from practically nothing and this is never more evident than in fashion photography. I am a sucker for anything "street style" too.

Jane Austen: I hate chick flicks. I hate anything romantic and warm and gushy. But, give me Mr. Darcy in the English countryside in the 1800's and I melt.

Camping: I am a total city girl, I never wear flats and I pretty much live in skirts but I have always loved to camp. I've heard about this new thing called Glamping now though—think Champagne and truffles + camping in tents—and I am pretty taken with this idea so can't wait to glamp it up this summer!

So tell me, are you also a fan of my five loves?

Glad to have you, Alexandra!!! I've been meaning to thrift shop for ages! Can't seem to find a good store though, nor am I ever there at the right time either...maybe you could provide some tips? :)

Welcome! I am also not a big fan of chick flicks. I don't mind watching it but I prefer something different...like suspense thriller :)

Btw, I really like your pictures. They are really artistically done.

Glamping - I heard about that a few years back and have been very interested too! However, I think I'd want a faux cultural experience, like living in a fancy Bedouin tent in the desert or something like that. Just having a fancy tent and a butler at some random location would not be as compelling to me.
