Posing Wall: Meet Christina
Hey everyone! My name is Christina and I am the new editorial intern here at Chick Advisor!
I am so excited to have my first internship experience and can't wait to share it with all of you.
Since I'll be sticking around for a while, I think I should let you all know a few things about me! I was born and raised in Toronto and I am currently attending the University of Toronto where I'm in my third year studying English.
The life of an English Major is never boring, especially when you're involved in a college council like me! As part of my escape from the insanity of school, I plan charitable events for students across campus. I've worked with charities such as Movember and the Canadian Cancer Society.
I also have a large collection of purses. Some may call it an addiction, I call it investing in my future museum of fashion. My newest addition is a plum Rebecca Minkoff quilted mini affair bag.
Travelling is my favourite way to take a break from the busy city. Whether it is laying on a sandy beach or day dreaming about the pasta in Italy, my mind is always on travelling somewhere else. I recently travelled to Mexico and Portugal.
Last year my best friend and I braved the colour bombs of Toronto's first Colour Me Rad 5k race. Minus the rainbow that stayed on my body for about a week, I would definitely do it again.
I enjoy writing short stories and poetry. Some of my favourite authors include Scott Fitzgerald and (my guilty pleasure/favourite break-up read) Nicholas Sparks. I am also a Shakespeare lover. I guess when you're forced to read the whole Shakespeare anthology, his words can easily sway you.
Let me know what's on your reading list for this year, or if you're starting (or started) your own fabulous purse collection!
I can't wait to hear from all of you in the Chick community!

Welcome to the family, Christina!
So nice to have you on board :) One of my fav authors is Haruki Murakami but lately I've been into short reads and graphic novels. I recently discovered MarkManson.net - he has great articles! You might like. My guilty pleasure is shoes.. I usually search for aesthetic and exclusivity and I will spend a lot on good pair of booties, heels, sneakers etc.
I am so proud of you! Keep going and you will be very successful! I loved to hear your passion for purses, which I also love, but my true passion is shoes which always need a great matching purse. My hope for you is that you are happy in what you do and always stay on that path, don't let anyone ever tell you that it can't be done! I am one proud auntie!
Wow! So much fun and enthusiasm you portray. I love purses as well. Your latest plum purse is a dream, with chains and a quilted pattern it is a life lasting design, that is why I am putting my purse purchases on hold and saving up for a Chanel. Oh là là! My first purse ever was an all black Gucci travelling pouch and then I purchased my first Louis Vuitton speedy 35 in monogram, then the Marc Jacobs black lil ukita bag and then the Louis Vuitton neverfull bag in damier and then the Tory Burch mini Robinson crossbody and of course Longchamp that I wear every day. But have you seen the YSL cassandre tassel crossbody bag, now that’s a gem! |
