Review of the Week: Foundation (September 3-9)

Everyone has a favourite foundation they swear by and we all know what works best for us. Of course, getting to that perfect foundation takes time, research and effort. Which means that it helps to get a little advice and some good recommendations every now and then.

This week, we want you to review a foundation - powder, liquid or cream. It can be one you've loved, one you've hated or just one you're on the fence about. As long as it's a foundation and you review it between September 3 to 9, you'll be entered into our Review of the Week giveaway! Plus, there's more good news: the more you review, the better your chances are of winning!

If you're not sure about what to review, check out all our foundation reviews over here. If you've already got a product in mind, head on over here to get started on your review. Keep in mind that to review, you need to be a member. If you aren't a member already you can click here to become one in just a few minutes. We'd love to have you join the family!

I love Revlon Photo Ready- easy to use and I found a shade that really works with my skintone.

I have tried so many foundations, it's a little insane. Back in the day, before reformulation, MAC had the StudioFX Pancake makeup. Hardcore, covered everything and made you look flawless before the camera. I now find most of their foundations do little for me. Cargo also used to have a fabulous foundation that covered what needed covering without looking overly made up. I think I was "Saturn" but they too reformulated and I fell out of love with Cargo.

In the dreamy, slightly more expensive category, Vincent Longo's Water Canvas Cream to Powder oil free foundation is delish! Light, airy, great coverage and just a sublime feel. I feel somewhat the same way about Christian Dior's Air Flash. Not good if you have a heavy hand though. But lovely to blend and feels like it lasts forever.

While my skin is happier in it, I am not really loving my current foundation: Almay's Wake Up. I don't know if it's because I am using their primer as well (I feel more dewy than usual) or perhaps I have a heavy pump finger, but there's something off for me about this. Still I love that I'm not having a skin reaction as a result of having hyper sensitive skin.

I use the E.L.F Mineral Foundation SPF 15. Love how well it blends with my skin and you get a great flawless look. I have oily skin and I found this to be the best foundation for my skin type. Its a keeper.

I'm currently using Bare Minerals foundation. I find it stays in place on my oily skin. You can totally control how little or more you want for what ever particular coverage you need. It's expensive but can last a long time, especially when using it over a primer.

I really wish that you'd consider the people who have already reviewed
different foundations recently for this promotion offer..

I've been using Revlon ColorStay and really like it. It goes on smoothly for a matte finish, just wish it had a pump.
