Review of the Week: Lipstick (October 15-21)
I've spoken before about the power of a lipstick colour. How it can transform a basic look and how a neutral, minimal made up face can be made instantly chicer with the addition of some colour to your lips. Kind of an 'off duty model' type of deal.
Of course, with all the lipsticks out there it's important to find one that gives you what you need. Whether it's an intense pigment you're after, a long lasting durable colour or a matte finish, you're most likely going to need to go through a few before you find what's right for you.
This week, we want you to review your favourite lipstick. When you do, you will automatically be entred to win a prize pack! The more you review, the better your chances are of winning!

Last week for my birthday, I went to Sephora to get my free birthday "gift" which turned out to be a set of "Sugar" lip treatment. One is clear and one has a rose tint to it. And I must say, I am impressed. It leaves my lips soft all day and even after drinking and eating throughout the day, I haven't had to reapply at all.
I wear covergirl or Revlon lipdticks... N these r pretty gud.
I tried to add a photo for my review, but that feature is broken, it doesn't work for me. I reviewed:AVON Lip Stain MarkerThis is one of the best, most inexpensive lip stains out there. The available colours are fabulous, and it *lasts* a long, long time!
I have a Super Stay and it is really good. Stay really long time
I usually wear a subdued pink or mauve but when I want a little drama, I turn to Aloette's Red Clay lipstick. It is such a pretty red, without being over the top. Check it out it's beautiful!
@cutie_marlena, @xaleah: have either of you considered getting a free consultation/makeover at a store? Certainly department stores do it (think Estee Lauder, etc), but Sephora also has free express makeup services (http://www.sephora.com/beautystudio#express-services). I think that Body Shop also has occasional makeup trial promos. Might be worth trying!
I have also not found a lip stick that I really like....Either it does not stay on well or does not suit my skin tone...
This might help me... I've yet to find a lipstick I actually like, so maybe everyone else can help me out! |
