This spiced winter tea will completely make up for the harsh winter we've been having! Cinnamon, cloves, orange, tea and lemon. If those aren't the perfect winter ingredients to warm you up and keep you cozy, I don't know what are.
This recipe makes a quite a large amount of tea, so it's perfect for any night when you've got a get together. I say pop in a movie, play a little "Just Dance", perhaps and have some yummy cookies along with it and you'll have yourself the perfect winter weather blues antidote.
Here's what you'll need:
1. 4 Sticks of Cinnamon
2. 1/4 Cup of Fresh Lemon Juice
3. 1 Can (6 oz) Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
4. 6 Tea Bags
5. 2 Tsps Whole Cloves
6. 1 1/4 Cups Sugar (or sugar substitute)
7. Garnish: Orange Slices, Lemon Slices, Cinnamon Sticks or Cloves
8. 12 Cups Water (not pictured)
The How-To:
1. Bring 8 cups of water (out of 12 cups) to a boil and add tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
2. Stir in sugar, orange juice and lemon juice.
3. Combine 4 cups of water, cinnamon sticks and cloves in saucepan, boil and let simmer for 20 minutes.
4. Strain mixture and combine with the tea mixture.
5. Serve in mug with garnish!
