Spring Makeup Trend: Neutral Lipcolor

Posted by Cathy | Wednesday March 16, 20117 comments

As much as we adore the bright and bold lip colours we showed you recently, the trend that was favoured by celebs at the Academy Awards is the focus of our latest lipstick lust.

We've been seeing gorgeous neutrals, sheers, and light pinks that we have to share:

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry (C$19/US$15), CoverGirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in Clay (C$8.49), Rocky Mountain Soap Company Nude Lip Gloss (C$8)

Hello Kitty Big Smile Gloss in Lollipop
(C$16), Benefit Cosmetics Ultra Shine in Nudie Tude (C$23), Lancome L'Absolu Nu Replenishing & Enhancing Lipcolor in Rose Veil (US$29)

Which lipstick trend are you most excited about for Spring: honeysuckle, orange, red or neutral?

I don't really like neutral lips as much because too many women wear it in some sort of frosted shade that I don't care for. I prefer a stronger honeysuckle shade! However, I do agree that will expressive eye makeup, a matte neutral is definitely the way to go.

I'm itching to try the Clinique Chubby Stick and the Benefit gloss. I like neutral lips with playful eye makeup!

I prefer honeysuckle. I love a bright pop of colour on anyone. It just looks so fresh!
