Staff Daily Skincare Routine: Ali
I'd like to say that since becoming a Mom my skincare regimen has simplified, but that would be a lie. Despite having less time to take care of my skin, I'm using a lot more products these days. Since my boy is both a night owl and an early bird, I don't get a lot of sleep and it shows. I need all the help I can get from serums, eye creams and moisturizers. I have also become an SPF freak since my carefree days in the sun have started catching up with me. Add that all up and my routine is becoming a bit ridiculous!
Cleanse: Live Clean Foaming Daily Cleanser
I'm not too picky about what I wash my face with. I've even been known to use hand soap. Right now I'm using Live Clean and I love it because it takes all of my makeup off at once and my skin doesn't feel tight after.
Exfoliate: Live Clean Smoothing Facial Scrub or Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator Kit
When I'm in a hurry in the shower I'll use a bit of the scrub and I love how fine the particles are. If I want to take the time to pamper myself a bit I'll use the Neutrogena rejuvenator kit. I love the massage on my face and my skin glows when I'm done. In either case, I never exfoliate more than once per week.
Serums: SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel and SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel... and Vichy LiftActiv Serum 10
I told you my regimen was complicated! I'm not using a toner these days, just layering on the serums. I use both of the SkinCeuticals ones, twice a day. With the little droppers I feel like I'm injecting my skin with powerful anti-aging goodness. And, when I am particularly sleep deprived, I use my secret weapon: Vichy LiftActiv Serum 10. It really does make my skin look noticeably better.
Moisturize: Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea
This moisturizer is perfect for my skin because even though it has SPF 25, there is not a stitch of grease in it. My forehead can get through the entire day without having any sheen on it.
Cover: SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 or Vichy AeraTeint Pure Cream Foundation
Now that my skin is prepped, I add a little coverage to even everything out. If I want a more sheer look, I use SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion. There is a hint of colour in it and it gives my skin a subtle healthy glow. If I want more coverage, I love my Vichy AeraTeint Cream Foundation. It's not too thick, doesn't make me shiny and makes my skin look pretty much perfect.
Do you use any of these? What's your skincare routine?

Cleansers seems to be nice ,but will they work in winters as well as the skin gets rough in winters so most of the physicians avoid to use the cleansers
@Bren, SkinCeuticals isn't available everywhere, but they have a store locator on their site here:
Neat tips, you gals are a fountain of knowledge !!
yes I agree that once you have the kids you get less time to care for your skin and the way also get changed that you used to be before having the kids. but still there are some small tips precaution and simple procedure that can keep your skin healthy and beautiful . that is the gist that I could make out of the article above.
I love Vichy, but have only tried samples.... it's EXPENSIVE! I use Garnier toner for my daily after washing with Neutrogena cleansing bar or Neutrogena Naturals wash. I moisturize with Olay.. lately, Regenerist... but hey, I must be doing something right.... I am 36 and not looking a day over 25. :-)
I also have sensitive skin.I love the live clean line. I've been wanting to try the SkinCeuticals serum.I love how serums feel on the skin so velvety and smooth.Where can you purchase them?
I have sensitive skin as well. Thanks so much for the great tips!
I don't use any of these, but I was just looking at the Live Clean line last night. The Olay Pro-X for acne prone skin kit that I have bin using is beginning to get a bit to expensive. The cleanser runs out long before the other items in the kit. I've bin trying other face washes hoping to be able to combine one with the kit. This was one I was thinking about trying.
I too have sensitive skin, so this is helpful! Thanks so much! |
