A few months ago, when I first sampled Lancome's red lip colour from its Gold Fascination line, I admitted that "I don't usually wear red lipstick, but after sampling the Collection's L'Absolu Rouge lipcolour I predict things are about to change..."

Well guess what? Things have changed. I've since discovered the effect and convenience that red can have on your look.

For instance, a stroke of red lipstick makes doing my makeup so much simpler. It makes enough of a statement that I can keep the rest subtle, thus save time (especially in the morning). When I use L'Absolu Rouge, I keep my blush subdued, limit my eyeliner to my top lids, and opt for just a few mascara sweeps for a healthy look rather than a dramatic one.

What better time to pay homage to Gold Fascination than now? You may recall that the line was inspired by Canada's own female Olympians in their quest for gold!
