The skinny-over-caffeinated-indoor-sunglass-wearing-people have gone into hiding again - a dead giveaway that all the major fashion weeks have come to a close.

Looking back on all the shows, Fall/Winter 2009 is all about black, metallic and form fitting clothes with interesting shapes. We highlight some stand-outs from the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver Fashion Weeks:

Denis Gagnon ~ Montreal Fashion Week

There was an amazing mix of fabrics ranging from silks to leathers and furs. He used his skills in draping to create edgy yet feminine looks. We also saw lots of asymmetry in the hemlines, at the waist and at the neck.

Marie Saint Pierre ~ Montreal Fashion Week

Her show wowed right from the start, full of ruffles, pleats and draping. She created beautiful clothes with lots of volume and drama.

Helmer ~ Montreal Fashion Week

You can tell Helmer loves experimenting with shapes that accentuate a woman's body. His avant-garde designs are eye catching, innovative, and yet whimsical – perfect for the woman who wants to stand out in a crowd!

Bodybag by Jude & J.U.D.E. ~ Montreal Fashion Week

Jude Desjardins was inspired by London for the young working woman. Feminine touches were added to classic pieces such as blouses and suits. Plaid was used for sexy tailored dresses and cute bubble dresses. Bodybag had a retro flare with throwbacks to the 1930's and 1940's.

Evan Biddell ~ Toronto Fashion Week

Yes, he was the winner of Project Runway Canada Season One and for good reason! His line stood out on the runway with tight leather jackets, crazy oversized knit scarves and colour, colour, colour!

Andy Thê-Anh ~ Toronto Fashion Week

Lots of texture! That's what Andy Thê-Anh is all about for fall. We saw sexy swing coats, stunning evening wear and the perfect little cocktail dresses all over the runway. Andy also emphasized the waist with lots of teal and orange. Perfect clothes made for a sophisticated and glamorous lady.

Joseph Domingo ~ Vancouver Fashion Week

The American's collection had brilliant tailoring. Highlights were his corsets with skinny pants, which seemed to be inspired by Lady GaGa. Joseph accented each garment with touches of gold and silver. Lots of sparkle and shine is hot for fall 2009.

So don't throw out your leggings - they are here to stay, especially shiny or leather ones. Pair your favorite evening dress with a motorcycle jacket and most of all black is back!
