#StyleTalk: What Trends Do You Wish Would Make a Comeback? (Comment to Win!)
A shopping trip to TopShop with my mother means that I hear her say, "Well, I wore something just like that when I was 16" at least three times. Okay mom, I get it. While this can get old, real fast, she does have a point. Trends are always recycled.
I am extremely guilty of stealing some of her wardrobe from when she was a twenty something. Though I’m happy that some trends stayed in the past where they belong, i.e. hideous sky high bulky shoulder pads that were not only in blazers but possibly every top or blouse you owned; and yet, there are a few I wish I could still rock today.
My favorite trends usually come from the 90’s since I’m a 90’s baby. Scrunchies, high waisted acid wash, platforms - yes, please! I like to think I’m helping this comeback, so you’re welcome crop tops and fanny packs.
Have you noticed the recycling of trends through the years? What are some of your favorite trends from past decades that you wish would make a comeback in 2014?
Leave a comment below and you could win a prize pack worth C$35.00 full of some beauty goodies that are here to stay! Or tweet us @chickadvisor with your answer and the hashtag #StyleTalk to win!

I am not a fan of crop top, I find they can be a little slutty at times.
scrunchies adn slouch socks!! adn the little black flats my girlfriends and i all had with silver tips!
OMG! what about banana clips for your hair. They pulled your hair back like a ponytail but you still had the length and you could tease out those curls and plaster it with hairspray (all) and you could style your bangs if you had them......man I miss my long hair!
Really love scrunchy socks, and jean jackets
I miss the gauchos. They were so comfy and made me feel so sophisticated. I'm feeling like it should come back!!
HATE high waisted pants. They make us all look so weird! However I do have a love for acid washed/bleached out jeans, and scrunchies. I've also been known to wear leg warmers.
Scrunchies - those puffy ones from the 80`s. A more modern version of course - possibly with Aztec and leopard prints. They really are more forgiving on the hair than the skinny elastic type I use now.
Jean jackets and lace. | |
Leg warmers! | |
not sure which era but headbands and barrettes. Both versatile & pretty though I don't know how to wear the full circle headbands - they just spring off my head (maybe Chick Advisor could post an article about that), so it's the ones that cup my head instead ... you know what I mean? :) |
