Planning for a day at the beach is both exciting and humbling.  Exciting because of the weather, waves and wonderful boys.  Humbling because, well… guys really have the better end of it on this one, don't they?

Ali: Shan is my favourite swimsuit label so I started my search there and let the colour inspire the rest.  I love the look of these white Chanel sunglasses and these Michael Kors sandals.  Lacoste makes colourful, plush beach towels and I just know you are going to ask to borrow this Marni beach bag I imagine-bought. I'll confess, I won't be wearing the arm cuff to the beach or the studded bracelet, but perhaps the chunky bracelets? Or not.


Alexandra: I love this polka dot bikini from Zara because of the retro inspired bandeau top. The twist detail in the front is chic and simple but cute. That was my inspiration for the rest of the outfit: cute, chic, simple and vintage-inspired. I picked a floppy straw hat from Modcloth and a straw beach bag, also from Zara. Paired with wayfarers from Anthropologie, this outfit reminds me of yachting on the Italian Riviera in the 1960s.


Mandy: When I first laid eyes on this gorgeous Miu Miu Bikini, I was in love. The scallop detailing and the bow is just too adorable! It also pairs perfectly with this light, flowy Nasty Gal Shawl. These Tom Ford Anouk shades are classy with a catty twist! Together with J Crew’s Boardwalk tote and Land’s End Beach towel (did I mention that you can get it monogrammed? Ah-May-Zing!) I think I’m ready for summer!
