Pantone's colour for 2012 was recently announced as Tangerine Tango; since being introduced to the colour, we've gone bananas for tangerine! First we tried it out on our nails and loved the results! We also dug up a few options for tangerine makeup but weren't sure if this look was actually wearable... so we decided to Pose Off in Tangerine by experimenting with different shades and skin tones. We invited a friend along, Xolisa, who was kind enough to lend us her time and our guinea pig for the day- special thanks goes out to her!

Lorna


Lorna used Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Give Dreams (C$13.00) with MAC Lipglass in Ola Mango (C$17.50) to create a red-orange with pinkish hues. The bold colour in contrast to her minimal makeup lets her lips standout to create a statement without being overwhelming. 

Alexandra


Alexandra used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Grandma (US$13.00) for an opaque and bright orange lip. This one isn't for everyone but Alexandra likes the peachy undertones for a lip that can be transitioned from day to night. 

Mandy 
 

Mandy used MAC Lustre Lipstick in Surprise (C$17.50) for an intense orange lip that complements her subtle pink blush and basic eye makeup. We like that this look is all about the orange: it makes the shade really pop on her olive skin.

Xolisa


Xolisa used MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in Morange (C$17.50) for a lip that is perfect for her skintone. We think this shade is sophisticated and chic on Xolisa. We love the tangerine lip because it brings a little something extra to a basic look and in this case, it's no exception!
