TEMPTU AIRbrush Makeup System

We've heard about airbrush makeup but the idea of implementing it into a daily routine probably sounds too fancy-dancy for a lot of us.

Sephora has recently teamed up with TEMPTU AIRbrush Makeup System and they tell us that this product delivers pro results with total ease. TEMPTU has been used on catwalks such as Christian Dior and on TV shows like Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives.

We thought we'd test it out to see how easy it really is to look flawless enough for TV, and we convinced ChickAdvisor member AdrianaM to be our guineapig.

I present to you AdrianaM with a clean face.

Basically, you have 2 parts: the airbrush that is attached to the main system, and the 3 AIR pods that contain foundation, blush, and highlighter. You attach an AIR pod and hold the airbrush about 5 inches from the face, working in small circular motions.

Here is AdrianaM at the halfway point; we have only applied foundation to the left side of her face here. You can really see the difference, no?

We used foundation over her whole face, blush on the apples of her cheeks and cheekbones, and highlighter under the arch of her brows.

For our first time using this product, I'd say the end result is fab! Her skin looks even and natural, and the application only took 10-12 minutes.

It's a splurge as the system costs $265 CAD to start and AIR pod refills range from $36-$65 CAD. The system will be available to Canadian consumers in August 2010.

Does she look ready for a catwalk? Do you think it's worth the splurge?

I think it depends what you do for a living. I'd love something like that for public appearances or important meetings when I don't have access or time to get a makeup artist.

Adriana looks amazing!

Her skin does look amazing with that foundation, but I've tried much cheaper foundations with the same impact.. so no, I don't think it's worth the splurge1
