I love hearing the surprise in people's voices when you tell them that the fabulous new item they've been eying was actually pretty affordable and from a store they wouldn't usually consider! We scoped 10 items under $50 that fit the bill:

 
1. Suzy Shier Belted Ruffle Chiffon Dress (C$40.00) Channel Missoni in this printed flowy '70s style dress. The short length keeps it modern and I'd pair it with a thick belt to accentuate the waist.

2. Urban Planet Floral Dress (C$16.99) Super affordable and a great versatile piece for the end of summer days going into September. You could dress it up for a bar night with girlfriends or keep it casual with low wedge sandals for a trip to the mall.

3. Dynamite Sateen Pleated Skirt with Belt (C$29.90) I've never been a big Dynamite shopper, but this pleated skirt is not only very cute but you could definitely take this one from day wear at the office into an outfit for a dinner out. 

4. Suzy Shier Snake Belted Seam and Pleat Detailed Dress (C$40.00) You will get a ton of wear out of this dress- appropriate for work, a night out with the girls or even a date perhaps?  The belt is sleek and sophisticated and the neutral colour would look awesome with bright heels!


1. Ardene Headband (C$3.50) This headband is Inspired by Miu Miu with a Hitchcock-esque themed bird print. Extend the feminine theme by pairing it with lace or summer whites!

2. GirlProps Set of 12 Bangles (US$1.99) One the best kept internet secrets, I always find pieces that make a statement at this site and at an affordable price too! 

3. Ardene Bracelets (C$5.50) Stack these bracelets up for a fun accessory. They remind me of the thread wrapped bracelets we posted about earlier this summer. The charms and beads in bright colours would look great accessorized with a pair of denim cut-offs but you could totally pull these off for a formal occasion too.



1. Old Navy Suede Desert Wedges (C$36.94) Wedges are a good alternative for those who crave height but hate the hurt. These faux suede shoes with a cute lace up detail are a steal and would look great with most fall trend pieces like midi or maxi skirts, skinny jeans or leggings.

2. Hard Candy Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duos (US$6.00) I love these inexpensive, colourful and pigmented eye shadows. The fact that they come with two colours in one is awesome, I like to use one as a highlight and one as an allover colour.

3. Claire's Be a Deer Scarf (C$13.75) The woodsy outdoor theme for fall-to-winter is so whimsical and fun, and the pattern is definitely unique!
