The 10 Best Looks from NYFW Spring 2014
The other day, we broke down the best nail art designs and polish shades hot off the New York Fashion Week runway. Well today, we're doing the same thing for beauty.
Spring is generally, a lighter season for makeup. While fall gives us the return of the smoky eye and a few jewel tones, spring usually shows us pretty pinks and bare faced beauty. This year was no exception. We saw dewy skin, fresh faces and juicy pouts. And of course, braids made a statement yet again.
Here are a few inspirational looks to try out come spring 2014:
Strong brows, minimal makeup, slight shimmer and contour at Peter Som (via vogue.com)
Detailed, messy braids at Rachel Zoe
Turquoise eyes and pink lips at Badgley Mischka
Sheer wash of metals at Wes Gordon
Orange pop at DKNY
White cat eye liner at Tibi
All over highlight and glow at Richard Chai
Magenta winged liner at Jeremy Scott
Blue waterline at Marc Jacobs
Lavender lips at Prabal Gurung
Which of these would you try?

White cat eye liner seems interesting but I don't think it's something I would try.

Love the braided hair in the first set, and i'm digging the turquoise eyes and pink lips (although I think that looks best kept for the runway or an occasional night out...it could very easily go 90's throwback!). I also like the lavender lips, I recently picked up a light lavender shade in a lip balm and I adore it.
