Last night Revolver Film hosted their annual Much Music Video Awards bash at the Rosewater Supper Club to celebrate 25 years in the biz. Celebs made off with thousands of dollars of swag including sunglasses from gafas worth $1000 a pop.

We and a few brave photographers braved the elements, standing in the rain for several hours to interview celebrities. Band members from ill Scarlett, Finger Eleven, Hedley, Mobile, Winter Sleep and Canadian Idol Kalan Porter were more than willing to discuss their wardrobes with us... and a few other things.


Imagine asking a famous rockstar with eyeliner and black nailpolish how he feels about being a fashionista. Priceless. It was worth the rain and the bad hair I exposed everyone to. Favorite responses included "F&%*'n, #$@*, ya Man!" as well as articulately delivered monologues from some of the toughest looking rockers on why it is ok for a Dude to be a fashionista. Their mothers will be so proud.

What really struck me that night was how nice everyone was. I expected these guys would totally brush me off with my fashion questions but they were so into it... it was cute! Even the ones you would expect to have a lot of attitude were really great. Watch for our video coming soon!
