The New Year's Resolution You've Been Neglecting

It’s a New Year, and with a whopping 300-something days ahead of us, so too come the many opportunities to start fresh. Kicking that old smoking habit or losing those pesky last 10lbs might be top of list for many. But instead of focusing only on ditching bad patterns, why not be proactive about starting a worthy new one?
I must say, I'm not so keen about the fine lines that have recently planted real estate on my face. It seems it's only right to proclaim 2014 as the year we become skin savvy saints. Are you with me, ladies?
Maintaining a balanced diet with ample amounts of beta-carotene (think orange and yellow vegetables), bathing in sunscreen and moisturizing can do wonders for your skin. Had I realized this at the meek age of 18, maybe I wouldn't have sizzled away my precious youthful skin in tanning beds as much as I did. Despite the vast sea of skin care tips out there, your mom, doctor and dermatologist will all tell you the same thing: Keep It Simple!
We went to the professionals at Pure+Simple who were thrilled to tell us about their holistic approach to skin care. I am especially fond of them (having tried a few of their marvelous products) because of their philosophy alone: to improve skincare issues from the root of the problem, not the symptom.
Many of us opt for occasional pampering when it comes to skincare instead of making it a daily mandate (as it should be). The best piece of healthcare advice I've ever received is, "You can’t put a price tag on your skin." So, remember that facial you’ve been itchin' for? Yearn no more, sister!
Pure+Simple recently introduced the new Radiant Lift Facial, an incredible non-invasive treatment that prides itself on being "all gain, no pain." This anti-aging procedure uses a handheld wand to target the deepest layers of the skin by emitting radio waves, creating a relaxing and warming sensation. Meanwhile, the warmth creates friction between the active molecules as they collide with one another (Cue: Bill Nye, episode 88).
After all the molecular quickstep is said and done, you will walk away with noticeably lifted luscious skin, along with the long term benefits of healthy new cells and an increase in quality collagen production which helps smooth the appearance of wrinkles. Full results can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks.
Pure+Simple incorporates these Ayurvedic ideals into their entire line of products and spa services (Side note: Ayurveda is a notion native to India which encourages holistic healthy living). Having always been a big believer in strengthening the body, mind and soul from the inside out, Pure+Simple is definitely worth exploring for that alone.
And if it happens to coincide with our brand new resolution to put health, self and skin at the top of our priority list this year, well, regular skincare treatments are an investment I am just going to have to make (and I'm not complaining).
Look for a Pure+Simple location close to you and book your Radiant Lift Facial today. They're always up for a nice chat over on Facebook and Twitter too!
