Tip Tuesday: 5 Different Ways to Use Nude Liners + 5 Nude Liners to Try

As far as I'm concerned, nude liners are one of the best kept makeup secrets. Maybe it's just me and my makeup newbie self, but I had actually never considered all the great uses for a nude liner until Mandy brought them to my attention.

Nude liners are similar to white liners, in their uses and effects. However, nude has the added benefit of being more subtle. White liners can look very stark, especially on ladies with darker or more oilve skin tones. So, this Tip Tuesday, why not try out a nude liner look? Here are five ways you can try it out:

Tip #1: Waterline

Line your waterline to open up your eyes, making them appear bigger. Bring the liner all the way into the inner corner as well. This makes you look more alert and awake.

Tip #2: Contouring Nose

Draw a line down the middle of your nose, then lightly pat and blend. This highlights to contour your nose.

Tip #3: Cupid's Bow

The 'V' shape in the middle of your top lip is called your 'cupid's bow'. Lining this part and blending it, allows more light to catch. This makes your lips appear fuller.

Tip #4: Browbone

Highlighting underneath your browbone, where your eyebrow arches, gives you a wide eyed look, again making your eyes appear larger.

Tip #5: Bottom Lip

After applying your lip colour, lightly smudge in some nude liner in the middle of your bottom lip. The light colour catches the eye and gives the illusion of pouty lips. Add some gloss on top for a little something extra.

Have we convinced you that you need to buy a nude liner? Here are a few options that we recommend:

1. NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte (C$25.00)
2.Tarte EmphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener (C$23.00)
3. MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15 (C$18.00)
4. Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Vow (C$20.00)
5. Stila Kajal Eye Pencil in Topaz (C$24.00)

Have you used nude liner before? Would you?
