Transition Into Spring With A Tinted Moisturizer
As the cold and drying winter weather comes to an end and we move into spring, our skincare needs change. That heavy moisturizer is no longer so necessary, and the thought of lightening up on our base sounds as appealing as the sunshine that's becoming our new best friend. A tinted moisturizer is a great way to lighten your load, and most have SPF coverage making them three products in one—moisturizer, foundation and UVA/UVB protector. Claire Danes and Kristen Stewart are both reported to be fans of Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer with SPF, and Stewart's Twilight costar Ashley Greene has name checked Mark Get A Tint as a go to product. Ever since we saw Michelle Williams on the Oscar red carpet we've been thinking about how to get her pretty skin (the actress reportedly wore lightweight Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation) but since we don't need to worry about a photographers flashbulb, a tinted moisturizer will let us replicate a similar low coverage look where our natural glow shines through.

Just got the aveeno tinted moisturizer. SPF 30. The coverage is pretty good, and I trust Aveeno as a skincare brand. I got it for about $20 at London Drugs, but the downside is that it only comes in 2 shades, fair and medium, and after trying the medium, I think I fall somewhere in the middle... But since it's summer I'll get darker so it should be a perfect match in a few weeks :)
I LOVE tinted moisturizers!! Cargo is by far the best I have ever tried because it gives your skin even coverage with a very slight sheen for that oh-so-gorgeous glow. Another bonus is that it is oil-free as well as paraben-free!!
I hadn't thought of switching to a tinted moisturizer, but I think it's a great idea. I'm going to buy Mary Kay's - SPF 20, $25.
okay so after I read this article, I went out and bought a tinted moisturizer! Mine is by Stila-and I am going to try it out this weekend.
I love the idea of a tinted moisturizer but the coverage just isn't there for me. The only one that even comes close is the laura mercier and to be honest it's too expensive (even for me). I don't really like the 'dewey' skin effect-my face ends up looking like an oil slick an hour after applying!
I love tinted moisturizer Ive been using it for many years.I haven't tried any of these I always use Yves Rochers. But I'm curious to try the kiss my face one I like there products.
I have used the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer for 2 years and it is amazing. I love that this has a SPF of 20 which is perfect for me. Having two children my makeup routine needs to be quick and easy and I find this covers everything up with dash bronzer I'm ready to go.
