Trending in Fashion: Would You Wear Overalls?
Gals, something weird is happening. Something that hasn't happened since the 90's. Overalls are coming back into style. (Gasp!)
It started last fall 2012, but designers keep trying to make overalls happen. They've even been in the spring/summer collections for 2013:
(left to right) House of Holland, Margaret Howell, Phillip Lim 3.1
They've even expanded into a pinafore/jumper style, as seen at Jason Wu (left) and Ruffian (right).
I don't know about you chicks, but I haven't sported a pair of overalls since I was 11. And even then I was pushing the coolness boundaries.
But, maybe, somehow, it kind of works now?
Street style chicsters have been experimenting with the overall look and I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but they're kind of convincing...

With the heels and an interesting tee - it's kind of cool, amirite? If you think maybe this one is for you, here are a few overall options I'm liking (note the leather!):
Zara Leather Studio Jumpsuit (US$399.00)
Modcloth Blue Jean Nights Overalls (US$42.99)
TopShop Moto Bleach Long Leg Dungarees (UK$55.00)
River Island Floral Dungarees (C$69.86)
What do you think of the overall trend? Would you wear them?

I agree, I like the Jason Wu version and I don't totally hate the shorts versions as seen in the first 2 street style. I can't see myself ever going for the full leg version though. And what's with the Ruffian overalls? Those look like some sort of industrial plastic suit?! | |

Ugh, some things need to stay in the 90's. The only ones I like here are the Jason Wu, because they don't even look like overalls. |
