Let’s be real: Valentine’s Day can be a minefield.
On one of the most romantic days of the year, we want a meaningful token--something he put thought and effort into. Something other than overpriced roses he had to grab from the grocery store at the last minute because everywhere else was sold out.
(We’re not greedy, just honest.) Since he’s no mind reader, a helping hand is in order don’t you think?
Shoppers Drug Mart is bringing back its super helpful Gift Guide tool that, while offering plenty of suggestions on what you can buy for others, just so happens to be email-able – so you curate your own list stocked with things you genuinely want, and with the click of a mouse it’s in his inbox lickety-split. And since turnabout is fair play, he can make his own list of wants to send you the 411 in no time flat.
So purely for the sake of demonstration (*wink*), here are a few little items that would go on my list:
Smashbox Cream Blush Duo, Dior DiorShow mascara, Lancome Absolu Rouge lipstick, Dark Chocolate Hearts (because I’m a chocolate snob), and the Ceramic Take Out mug (because it’s eco-friendly and scores me 10¢ off at Starbucks).
You can find great gift ideas for friends and family of all ages, or maybe just use this excuse to pamper yourself for once. Check out all the possibilities on Shoppers Drug Mart’s Gift Guide tool here!

I want the ceramic take out mug!! So cute, and practical! | |
This guide makes it so easy to through together a perfect gift that is personal and you know the person is going to love it! My favourite thing to do is make a list of 5-6 items (like a lip colour, nail polish, bubble bath, some chocolate etc.) and wrap them up in a big basket with bright tissue paper, ribbon and some confetti. |
