Vancouver's Breyers Smooth & Dreamy event on Wednesday was so much fun! Everything went off without a hitch with a couple of minor exceptions:

1. The weather was a bit cool and rainy so I had to go shopping (I know. poor me.) for some warmer clothes and an umbrella;

2. My seatmate on the return flight farted all the way from YVR to YYZ.

That aside, Vancouver was amazing.


Prior to the event I got glammed up at M.A.C by the very talented Blair Petty of quarter-life crises blog, degrees of, who used shimmering golds, warm browns and a hint of lime to bring out my blue eyes. My favourite of the shadows was Embark, an intense reddish brown that created a bold smokey eye look.


The members and media who attended the event were so much fun! I noticed something very interesting when I asked everyone if they felt guilty about eating dessert. When I posed that question to the audience in Toronto, everyone raised their hands. In Vancouver... one person.


In fact, where people ate one scoop of Smooth & Dreamy in Toronto, in Vancouver many people tried every flavour. I was impressed. The attitude overall is why feel guilty about dessert when you have an overall healthy lifestyle? Exercise and exploring the outdoors is a very important part of life in Vancouver. I have to admit I envy that.

Where Strawberry ice cream inspired pink was the nail colour of choice in Toronto, chocolate and dulce de leche inspired shades were the rage in Vancouver.
  

The bar staff at George Lounge were lovely.



The lovely Lauren of Harbinger organized the event and was my dinner buddy.
 

My one picture of Vancouver when it wasn't raining was taken in Gastown. I'm so jealous of the scenery here when it doesn't rain.
