We Love Fridays: 5 DIY Projects For This Weekend

Spring makes me want to get crafty! I think it's because the flowers are blooming and I feel the need to get in on all that creation. This weekend is set to be gawwwgeous, so I think it's the perfect opportunity to get out in the sun (perhaps on a supa cool pimped out patio?) and get DIY'ing.

I found 5 simple projects for you to tackle on the weekend. They're not too challenging and you won't need any extensive shopping list. They're perfect for an afternoon spent at home. Plus, if you're still in a bind for Mother's Day, there are some excellent DIY gift options.

#1 Chai Tea Kit: Find a chai tea recipe (here's one!) and fill a compartmentalized box with ingredients. Try finding a box like the one above at a dollar or hardware store. You should be able to find most ingredients at grocery or health food stores. Full instructions via rookiemag.com.

#2 Easy Peasy Necklace: Have a bracelet that you adore but unfortunately it's been retired to the broken jewelry graveyard? Turn it into a necklace simply by tying on some pretty ribbon! Via pinterest.com.

#3 Rosemary Gin Fizz: Behold, a delicious and refreshing cocktail! Doesn't this just look like spring in a glass? Full recipe via joannagoddard.blogspot.ca.

#4 Kitchen Revamp: Inject some fun into boring, old white serving dishes or kitchen utensils by spray painting a neon accent! Full instructions via shopsweetthings.com.

#5 'Better Than Chips' Potatoes: Slice, season and bake and voila, you have crispy, delicious potatoes (also, they look cool). Full instructions via imgur.com.

Which of these projects will you take on this weekend? Do you have any other DIY's planned?

I think the dishes look great, and it would be a great way to dress up thrift store finds.

I love the neon accents on those plain white dishes! I would definitely go for that.
